Choose compatibility mode for Windows 98 in order to run the program if necessary. That is a whole lot different to choosing compatibility mode for installation.Computing.Net cannot verify the validity of the statements made on this.

Corel Print House Magic Windows 7 Is TheIts a program problem, but Im certain Windows 7 is the main issue. For several years now, and over several systems, Ive been using Corel Photo House Version 3 for image editing. Corel Print House Magic Free With AIt came free with a printer as part of a Corel Print House Magic package. I know, by many standards, its quite basic - but it does everything I need it to, is user-friendly and is a vital tool for me in graphic design and illustration work. I make particular use of the cloning tool, the various special effect filters, and the paint brush and spray gun for creating original illustrations. Since Ive had it, Ive used it on W 98, W Me and W XP Professional without a hitch - despite the fact that it says 95, 98 and NT 4.0 on the case Well. Ive now had to trade up to a new system, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I managed to load the program on it, and it worked perfectly the first time I used it. Great, I thought. The second time I used it things started going wrong. When I clicked Open to get a file, the Look in strip came up blank. I got an error message up to say that the program had stopped responding and that Windows was searching for a solution. After a few more seconds, another message appeared to say that the program was shutting down. And that was that. Since then, Ive tried all ways to get the thing to run properly again. Ive unreinstalled, changed the compatability setting for earlier versions of Windows, searched for driver updates (they dont seem to be available for this program now), etc. Ive discovered that I can paste an image into the program from the Clipboard and edit it. But as soon as I try to save it, the program stops responding again and shuts down. What I dont understand is why it worked ok the first time I used it. And why wont it work when I change the compatability for a version of Windows that it DID work on Id be grateful for any advice anyone can offer on this. Failing a fix. can anyone suggest a new program which includes all the features Ive mentioned Ive tried Adobe Photo Shop, but dont get on with it. However started having problems with it on WinXP so I opted to use other programs, rather than getting frustrated by the instability. There is the option of setting up a dual-boot system, if you still have an older operating system like Win98. Youre program could be installed on the Win98 side of your dual-boot system. Aside from that, I would say its time to start trying out whats current. Corel currently offers CorelDraw Graphics Suite X5, and PaintShop Pro X3. Its a special copy of Windows XP that you run in a virtual machine.
